FAQ

Good questions

Everything people usually ask before working with me, from sizing and shipping to what happens to your nan's old gold. Can't see yours? Just ask me.

Bespoke

How does a commission work?

You tell me who it's for and what you love, we chat (at my studio or on a video call), and I come back with my design: a sketch, stone options and a fixed quote. Once you're happy, I get making and send progress photos along the way, so you're never left wondering.

I can only take on a limited number of commissions and they're filling quickly, so if you have a date in mind, get in touch early.

More on how bespoke works

How long does it take?

Usually 6 to 12 weeks from our first chat to the finished piece. Need it faster? Just ask! Tell me the date early and I'll tell you honestly whether it's doable.

How much does a bespoke piece cost?

Engagement rings start from $1,500. Beyond that it depends on the metal, the stones and how much making is involved, so every piece gets its own quote. Once we've agreed on it, that's the price. No surprise extras halfway through.

If you have a budget in mind, tell me. I'm very good at designing to one, and I'll always be upfront about what's possible.

Can I pay it off?

Yes! Commissions can be paid off with a payment plan. I start making once 50% is paid, and your piece ships once it's paid in full. Bank transfer is welcome too.

Can you use my old gold and stones?

Absolutely, it's some of my favourite work. Send me photos of what's in the jewellery box and I'll let you know what's possible. Solid gold can usually be melted down and reworked, and I'll look over your stones carefully before planning a new setting. Gold plated pieces can't be reused, sadly.

How will my piece be made?

It depends on the design. I hand fabricate, carve in wax, sand cast and design in CAD, and I'll choose whichever method suits your piece best. You're never limited by one technique.

What if I don't know exactly what I want?

Totally normal. Designing it is my part. Tell me who it's for and what you love, and I'll bring the ideas. Plenty of my favourite pieces started with a feeling, a screenshot or 'like my nan's ring, but cooler'.

Can we meet in person?

Yes. I see clients at my garden studio on the Central Coast of NSW, by appointment. For anyone further away (or anyone who'd rather chat from the couch), I do video calls all the time.

Natural or lab grown diamonds?

I work with both, plus all sorts of coloured gemstones. I'll talk you through the differences in look, price and feel so you can choose what's right for you, with zero pressure either way.

Sizing and fit

What ring sizes do you make?

All of them. Every ring is made to your size, petite to very generous. If you've ever felt like rings just aren't made for your hands, these ones are.

How do I find my ring size?

Order one of my ring sizers ($2), or pop into a local jeweller and ask to be sized in Australian (or UK) letter sizes. My ring sizing guide has the full chart and a few tips, like going up for wide bands.

What if my ring doesn't fit?

Your first resize is free within 30 days of delivery. You just cover postage to me. A few designs, like full eternity bands, can only move a little, so it's worth getting your size right before I start.

Which necklace length should I choose?

My necklace length guide shows where each length sits. Measuring a chain you already love is the easiest way to know.

Orders and delivery

Is everything made to order?

Most pieces in the shop are made after you order, just for you. Pieces in my One of a Kind and In Stock collections are already made, so they head out sooner (and when a one of a kind is gone, it's gone).

How long will my order take?

Made to order pieces from the shop can take up to six weeks to make, plus delivery. Need it sooner, or by a certain date? Just ask! Email me before you order and I'll do my best to make it work.

How much is shipping?

Free express shipping on Australian orders over $250, and a flat $10 under that. Every parcel needs a signature on delivery, so it never gets left on a doorstep. All the delivery details

Do you ship overseas?

Yes, worldwide. International rates are shown at checkout. Import duties and taxes may apply depending on where you live.

Do you offer Afterpay or Zip?

Yes, both are available at checkout on pieces in the shop. For bespoke pieces, ask me about a payment plan.

Can I insure my parcel?

Of course. Email me and I'll invoice the level of postal cover you'd like separately.

Care, warranty and returns

What metals do you use?

Solid gold, sterling silver and platinum, mostly recycled, plus a small amount of gold vermeil in earrings. Stones are ethically sourced, or they're your own heirlooms.

What if something goes wrong with my piece?

Manufacturing faults are repaired free within 6 months of purchase. After that I can still repair it, I'll just quote first. Please bring it back to me rather than another jeweller, as outside work voids the warranty. Full warranty details

Can I return or exchange?

Because everything is made to order, I don't offer refunds for change of mind. If your piece is in new condition and you contact me within a week of delivery, an exchange or credit note may be possible. Faulty pieces are always looked after.

How do I look after my jewellery?

Take it off for the gym, the shower, cleaning and bed, and keep it away from perfume and lotions. Bespoke clients also get a free clean and polish from me once a year. The full care guide

The studio

Who actually makes my jewellery?

Me! I design every piece myself, and most of them begin in my garden studio on the Central Coast of NSW, at the bench my dad built from a TV cabinet he found on the side of the road. Depending on the piece I hand fabricate, carve in wax, sand cast or design in CAD, whichever suits it best.

Where can I see more of your work?

The bespoke gallery has past commissions, and Instagram is where you'll see the bench, works in progress and new pieces first.

Still wondering?

Just ask me

Every message comes straight to me. No team, no bots, just me at the bench.
